Here's a shed that Marty is building using my 12x16 barn with porch shed plans.
The following is some information Marty provided along with the pictures he sent me.
My wife and I decided to use your plans to build a shed. We also decided that we would not build the porch, So we just put up 4 walls. We also put in 4 windows and a door with a storm door, We received our wood first week in September and 7 weeks later finished the shed all except for the ramp. Now mind you we are both retired- I am 64 and my wife is 63. We worked pretty well together, she was the master of the rule and the square and the level. No slam bam git -r-done with her around.
Every thing was going as planed- we built our first truss and the first thing we said was uhh o we are in deep trouble. we finished installing all of the trusses.I borrowed some cross buck scaffolding and ladder standoffs to finish the job. Before that point in time we thought at first there is no way we could handle the rest of this job.
Just getting the plywood on the roof was a trick. By myself, I thru the plywood up on the scaffolding. After nailing a 2x4 across the trusses to hold the plywood until nailed --the one side went real smooth but about killed this ole man LOL. The other side was a little more strenuous since it was about 2 ft higher but it worked out.
The roofing was a breeze. I had done commercial and residential roofing for about 18 years, just one of my 3 professions. Struck one line on whole roof. Came out perfect.
Fly rafters were a breeze. No one should be intimidated by them. I actually put one side of them on by myself. The gable rafters were a bit tricky but with the scaffolding no problem.

Doing Good Marty!

So much for building a little shed LOL----
We absolutely love this building---doing it our self made it all worth our time and effort.--- Will wait until spring to build the ramp and the one step needed to get in the front door.
Everytime my wife looks out the back door- I hear her say--I cannot believe we built that. She was afraid of heights until we done this project.
This is not a project for the faint of heart.
