How to cut the birds mouth

I'm building a shed that's going to be 12 foot long, 10 foot wide, and 9 foot high. I want a low profile roof. If my rise is 6 inches high.

1.How do I figure out where to cut my birds mount?

2. Can I even do a roof that low?

Hi Dustin,

Your shed roof would have to be covered with metal if it has a roof pitch less than 15 degrees. Your other option would be going with a glue down rubber membrane that could then be covered with shingles.
