I want to build a 8x10 shed with the double doors on the 8ft wide front of the shed.

How wide can the doors be on the 8ft wide front?

Hi Robert,

If it was my shed, I don't think I would go any wider than 5'. 6' wide shed doors are doable but they are going to be very heavy. Maybe you have a riding mower with a 60" mower deck and need the 6' doors. If that's the case, then I would certainly go with 6' wide doors. You would definitely need to make sure that the door opening framing is sturdy enough to support each of the 3' doors, and also you'll want to make sure you have heavy duty hinges to hang them with.
