Shed wall height

I like your 12x16 barn shed. Do any of your plans have walls closer to the 8' height (less floor overhang) to accommodate standard sheet goods? I would like to maximize wall height and not have to cut the 4'by8'siding sheets.

Also do you have any gambrel roof plans with vertical windows in the steep side of the roof?

Hi Gerry,

I usually go 7' max with the wall height, but it is an easy modification to frame the shed walls for any plan I sell to 8', less floor overhang.

The standard height for a shed wall is about 7', but there is nothing written in stone that this has to be the case!

By all means frame your wall height so that you get full use out of the 8' siding panels.

I don't have any gambrel plans with windows framed into the gable sides, but I do have information on the site about framing in shed windows which you can find at shedking.net/shed-windows.html
