2x4s for the Shed Doors

Hi John,
Great article on the shed doors! Now for my dumb question... Do you use treated 2x4s for the doors or "regular" ones and paint 'em up good?
Thanks
Greg

Hi Greg,

You can use either. Treated 2x4's will withstand the weather better, but I have found them to not take paint as well as the regular 2x4.

If you do use treated, try using an oil based paint on them rather than latex.

Hope this helps.
Thank you for visiting my site.
