Shed Ramp For a Metal Shed

4x4 treated posts sunken into ground.

4x4 treated posts sunken into ground.

4x4 treated posts sunken into ground. Ledger board attached to posts for ramp construction. Ends of ramp boards resting in gravel bed. Ramp planked with 2x6's or 1x6's. There you have it!

My shed does not have a bottom lip and I'm not sure how to add a ramp. The foundation of the shed is metal.

Basically then what you would have to do is build your ramp right off the ground. The entire ramp structure would be made to rest on the ground, perhaps on a bed of gravel.

If you plan on moving heavy riding mowers across it then definitely anchor the ramp to the ground.

You could sink a few 4"x4" treated posts into the ground spaced at your door width, then construct your shed ramp off of this. Make sure the posts bottoms are down below the frost level.
