how to build a shed

Shed foundation

(Markham, Ontario, Canada)

Not to sound stupid but I can not find what size wood you use for the floor joists - 2x6 or 2x8?

John's Answer:

Hello Jamie,

On all my sheds up to 10' wide, I would use treated 2x4's for the shed floor, and on the 10' wide models, I would have 3 4x4 skids. Anything wider I would use 2x6's with 3 4x4 skids.

Hope this helps.
