Jim's shed is very nicely done and his shed design is quite unique indeed. I am glad that he took the time to share his pictures with me so that I could post them here on the website.

This is a gable style shed that Jim has built here and from the looks of it he stick framed the roof using a ridge board.

These guys are really having fun!

Jim has used 'smartside' siding available from most big box lumber supply stores like Lowes and Home Depot. This siding is very easy to use and is an engineered wood product siding which comes already pre-primed. All the shed builder has to do is put a couple of finish coats of paint on.

I built a chicken coop for my grandson using this smartside siding about 8 years ago, never painted it, and it's still in great condition.

Maintenance is easier for this type of siding as opposed to using t-111 4'x8' siding sheets. And if you do use t-111 siding, priming and painting is an absolute must right away.
